Currently: June

Before I get started with my Currently for the month of June I wanted to spread that word about this fundraiser Farley put together to help out the sweet town of Wimberly that has been forever changed by the crazy floods that have swept through Texas over the past few weeks. She is aiming to raise $500 for the foundation Wimberly Adoption Group and Rescue (WAG)  that will house the lost pets until they can be reunited with their owners. Click {here} to read more about this organization and how you can help.

I am so excited to be linking up with Farley at Oh Boy 4th Grade once again for this fantastic linky party.

LISTENING:
We are building a patio in the backyard and the weather is finally allowing that to actually happen. It has been delayed for a month because of our rainy weather. The guys laid the concrete today and are hammering away to get the texture on the concrete.

LOVING:
My husband started his MBA program at Texas Christian University while we were pregnant with Molly and he officially finished his last class this week. We have not done this parenting gig without him being in school so I cannot wait to find a new normal for us. My honey-to-do list is crazy long so I have no doubt that he will be incredibly excited to be finished with school. Ha! I do feel like he should get a special medal when he walks this December for completing his MBA, working full time, and having two kids all within a 2 ½ year time frame. He is kind of a stud and his girls appreciate him greatly.

THINKING:

My to-do list is growing exponentially and I am sitting here filling out my Currently. I missed last month because of craziness and I refused to miss this great linky party again. It is so much fun seeing what all my sweet blogger buddies are up to. As soon as I am done I will get back to work. I will then have to figure out how to just do ONLY those things on my to-do list. I keep getting side tracked and adding things to my list.

WANTING:
I could really do with a large glass of wine..or bottle. I really debated putting this one on needing, but I thought that might read a little desperate so it is under wanting.  I started my second round of Whole 30 last Monday so I still have a while before I can partake in such festivities. I felt SO good after doing my first round in April that I wanted to do it again before Vegas. The hubby and I are going away for the weekend at the end of June and it was very important that I be able to eat and drink whatever I please for that so it was a quick turnaround. I pretty much enjoyed wine and beer for three days and then hopped back on the Whole 30 train. I feel amazing and love it, BUT I miss my wine. I swear I am a much better mom (and person in general) when I have it. I need Jesus and wine, apparently.

NEEDING:
Vegas cannot get here soon enough.  I cannot wait to meet all these amazing bloggers and TpTers, have some girl time, and network away. As much as I LOVE being a work at home mom, it will be so nice to wear a different hat for a few days.

SUMMER LOVIN
I am beyond excited to spend a good chunk of our summer days in PJs at home. I love lazy days at the house. There is not a lot of other things that can beat that. The hubby and I are heading out for a long weekend just the two of us in a couple of weeks. It will be my first time away from Charlotte for more than a few hours, but it is important to escape from time to time. We plan to eat, drink, sleep, and do a whole lot of nothing. It will be fabulous. I am also looking forward to Vegas this summer for the TpT conference. It will be here before we know it!

April Currently

I am linking up again with Farley for the April Currently. This is one of my favorite linky parties. I always enjoy seeing what all the awesome bloggers are up to.

LISTENING - I was in a Jack Johnson kind of mood today so that is what I am currently playing on the computer. I love his stuff. It is so chill and just makes my heart happy. I try and only work during nap time or after the girls are asleep, so whatever I am listening to will always be mixed with some white noise from the monitor.

LOVING - The weather here has been beautiful! We do not always get a spring in Texas. Many years we are gifted with a few gorgeous spring days and then it skips straight to summer. The last few weeks have been so nice and we have been making the most of it. We have spent every single afternoon outside and I would not have it any other way.

THINKING - How in the world is it Easter already? It honestly feels like Christmas was just yesterday. Yet somehow it is April. I do not know where the time goes. It is kind of scary how fast the year is flying by. I do wish there were times I could just press pause or slow motion or something like that so that all of these moments and days could be cherished and remembered.

WANTING - I currently live in yoga pants and comfy shirts and have very few things that are trendy and cute.  I understand that is the stage of life I am in at the moment and I love that, however, yoga pants and comfy shirts will not be acceptable in a few months when I go to the Teachers Pay Teachers Conference in Vegas. So, I want to win the lottery and then go shopping with my personal assistant who can put together great outfits that I can wear because I am clueless when it comes to fashion. Or maybe I will just be realistic and try out Stitch Fix. Either way, I need some cute, trendy clothes.

NEEDING - I need to finish updating my store. I thought this would be a quick and easy task, but it has turned out to be anything but quick and easy. Part of it is my fault because I keep adding things to each product, but part of it is just that this process takes time.  And time can be hard to come by most days. I have a long list of things I want to make, but I am really trying to hold off on that until I get each product exactly how I want it.

EGGS-PLAIN YOUR NAME - I really wanted a catchy teacher phrase for my blog name. I spent one weekend brainstorming ideas. Several of my favorites were already taken, but I had a list of available names that I could use. I thought about it for a couple of days and decided that ‘A Dab of Glue Will Do’ was my favorite. I have fallen in love with even more recently since Kassie at Designs by Kassie helped me create a logo and design. She put all of my ideas together and made a fantastic visual to go along with the name.

Well, I am off to go see what all of my blogger friends are currently up to for the month of April. You can do this too by going to Oh, Boy 4th Grade.

March Currently

I am excited to link up with Farley's March currently for the first time ever.

LISTENING - I love Ed Sheeran. There is something about him that makes me feel like a giddy school girl all over again. He is a cute little ginger with an amazing voice and can play the guitar. Need I say more? And why not mix some Ed Sheeran with classic white noise from the baby monitor. Baby monitors are really game changers. There is something so nice and comforting to know I can see and hear both of my babies while they are sleeping (sometimes not sleeping) in their rooms.

LOVING - I have been working with Designs by Kassie to come up with a design for my new blog. I am absolutely loving the result. I think we are almost done and fingers crossed it should be live by the end of the week. To say I am excited would be an understatement!!!

THINKING- I had a glass of wine with dinner and as I sit here typing this I am strongly considering having another one. Big decisions need to be made.

WANTING- I would LOVE to be able to lay in my bed all day long with absolutely zero responsibility. Just one day. That would be all I need. I am quite sure that I did not understand how incredibly amazing this was before I had my girls.  If I could go back in time, I would definitely appreciate those lazy Saturday and Sunday mornings much more.

NEEDING- I need a manicure, pedicure, and a haircut like yesterday. I am beyond overdue. I feel like every minute of every day is filled with something and I obviously cannot take my girls with me. Maybe one day this month I can do it. March is a lucky month, right?

SPRING BREAK - Whenever Spring Break rolls around we try not to leave the house. All the places that we would normally go during the week (park, zoo, children’s museum) are CRAZY. Usually a high percentage of those kids are not being monitored and the teacher in me wants to have a little chat with each one personally on using walking feet, not using hands for hitting, and using quiet voices. So, yes, the plan is to stay at home in our PJs. Check back on my blog soon for some fun at home activities that we plan to do to stay busy.

That is currently what I am doing for the month of March. What are you doing?
