I am linking up again with Farley for the April Currently. This is one of my favorite linky parties. I always enjoy seeing what all the awesome bloggers are up to.
LISTENING - I was in a Jack Johnson kind of mood today so that is what I am currently playing on the computer. I love his stuff. It is so chill and just makes my heart happy. I try and only work during nap time or after the girls are asleep, so whatever I am listening to will always be mixed with some white noise from the monitor.
LOVING - The weather here has been beautiful! We do not always get a spring in Texas . Many years we are gifted with a few gorgeous spring days and then it skips straight to summer. The last few weeks have been so nice and we have been making the most of it. We have spent every single afternoon outside and I would not have it any other way.
THINKING - How in the world is it Easter already? It honestly feels like Christmas was just yesterday. Yet somehow it is April. I do not know where the time goes. It is kind of scary how fast the year is flying by. I do wish there were times I could just press pause or slow motion or something like that so that all of these moments and days could be cherished and remembered.
WANTING - I currently live in yoga pants and comfy shirts and have very few things that are trendy and cute. I understand that is the stage of life I am in at the moment and I love that, however, yoga pants and comfy shirts will not be acceptable in a few months when I go to the Teachers Pay Teachers Conference in Vegas. So, I want to win the lottery and then go shopping with my personal assistant who can put together great outfits that I can wear because I am clueless when it comes to fashion. Or maybe I will just be realistic and try out Stitch Fix. Either way, I need some cute, trendy clothes.
NEEDING - I need to finish updating my store. I thought this would be a quick and easy task, but it has turned out to be anything but quick and easy. Part of it is my fault because I keep adding things to each product, but part of it is just that this process takes time. And time can be hard to come by most days. I have a long list of things I want to make, but I am really trying to hold off on that until I get each product exactly how I want it.
Well, I am off to go see what all of my blogger friends are currently up to for the month of April. You can do this too by going to Oh, Boy 4th Grade.
I just adore your blog name, and I just realized we are in the same boat! I am also a teacher turned stay at home mommy. It makes me so happy when I hear there are others like me out there!! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Becky! So glad to hear that you are a teacher turned stay at home mom too! There are several of us around here. It's always nice to meet more so we can have that sense of community. Are you going to the TpT conference? If so, we are having a SAHM on TPT luncheon on Wednesday.
DeleteI love your name!! It is perfect for a teachery type person :) I too am LOVING this weather we are having in Texas. Before you know it we will be sweating in 110 degree temps! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteCarrie
Thank you so much! You are so sweet. I am not looking forward to those hot 110 degree days. They are just miserable. I would really LOVE it if the weather stayed in the 70s and low 80s all summer long. :)
DeleteLove your blog name and logo! They are seriously so cute! I also have a long list of things I want to do for my TpT store. I just can't seem to find enough hours in the day. If you win the lotto and get a personal stylist can I borrow her afterward?? My wardrobe is seriously in need of help...lol. I need to get it together before Vegas too! Enjoy your spring days with your girls!

Thank you so much. I feel like I get one or two things checked off of my list and then add five more. It is crazy! I will most definitely send you my personal stylist if I ever win the lottery. ;) I cannot wait to meet you in Vegas in just a couple of months. (I cannot believe July is that close?!?!)
DeleteI don't wear yoga pants to work (except when I sneak in on Sundays to make copies) but I am also lacking in Vegas-appropriate apparel. I think a trip to the Galleria is in store for me come June! :)
ReplyDeleteOh the Galleria. I love going there. There are SO many shops. I could spend days there if I had unlimited funds. :)
DeleteWell, I think you and I would get along well...I love yoga pants, shopping, and things being perfect! Your blog is super cute. I wish we had spring already in Michigan...it snowed two days ago :( Happy Easter Weekend!
ReplyDeleteKovescence of the Mind
That is crazy you are having snow in APRIL!? Find comfort in the fact that while you are enjoying your nice summer months, we will be stuck inside the house from extreme heat. ;) I hope you had such a nice Easter.
DeleteYour blog design turned out so cute! I love the little glue bottle. Kassie did a great job!
ReplyDeleteI love checking out your blog for all the fun things you do with Molly! My Zoe just turned a year old, so I will put your ideas in my back pocket for a bit until she's a bit older! :)
Have a great Easter weekend!
I haven't tried Jamberry yet, but I'm dying too! Those autism awareness ones are cute! :)

Thank you so much for all of your sweet words! Kassie was amazing and so great to work with. I am glad you are enjoying all of my posts with fun things Molly and I have been doing. She has enjoyed doing a lot of them. It is getting to be more and more fun as she can do more! I hope you had a great Easter weekend. :)
DeleteLOVE YOUR BLOG NAME! It is super catchy! I don't know who Jack Johnson is...is that a bad thing? Haha! TTYL! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet lady! Good ole Jack Johnson is a singer-songwriter that does more folk rock and acoustic rock. You should check him out if you like that kind of stuff. :)
DeleteI love your blog name! I am also completely with you on the clothing- except I wear sweats instead of yoga pants. I did find several nicer things to take to Vegas- can't wear my teachers clothes because all I wear are jeans and t-shirts to school! Try Stitch Fix! I did and loved it, but canceled my subscription after I switched jobs.

Teachers Are Terrific!
Thank you so much! I think that I will definitely try Stitch Fix before we all head to Vegas!!!
