Five for Friday

This is my first Five for Friday and I am pretty excited about participating. It looks like a great way to connect with other amazing teachers and also a great way to find new blogs that I probably would not have stumbled across on my own.

My new blog design is finished and I am in LOVE! It is everything I dreamed that it would be and more. I am so excited to really get this blogging thing properly started now. No turning back! Kassie, at Designs by Kassie, is amazing! She made this entire process so easy and quick. If you are wanting a new blog design, you should definitely check her out. Because of my new website, I will be having a HUGE giveaway coming your way soon! Follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Teachers Pay Teachers so you can stay up to date on when that will be.

I was determined to get my Pre-Primer Dolch List Popcorn Words completed last night and downloaded for purchase and I did! Who cares if it was 11:00(ish) before it happened. It is now off of my checklist and ready for classrooms and little kids. Now I am onto updating the rest of my popcorn units. When I am done updating I will be making some similar units that will cover all of the Dolch and Fry words, but will be more generic and not popcorn words. Check out this short video that shows all of the different activities that are included in this unit.

I had some BIG milestones for my business, A Dab of Glue, this week. I reached 200 followers on Teachers PayTeachers, 100 followers on Facebook, and I'm almost to 200 followers on Instagram. Y’all are seriously the best. Thanks for sharing this journey with me and please spread the word.

I have been working on the mother of all St Patrick's day posts. For the last week or two my daughter and I have been busy doing all kinds of fun activities to share with you. I should have the post available Sunday or Monday at the latest.

We got about three inches of snow for the third time in the last week on Wednesday night. We have not had much of a winter here in Texas and, holy cow, it decided to end with a vengeance. I am not complaining, because I LOVE cold weather about as much as I LOVE staying home in my PJs all day. {So it was a win win for me}  I was actually quite sad that I had to shower and put on actual clothes this morning. This weather has definitely encouraged some extreme laziness in this household.

Well, that is my five for Friday in a nutshell. I can't wait to see what y’all have been up to.

  1. Hi Jennifer,
I was so glad to see you linked up with Five for Friday!! And I absolutely LOVE your new blog design. It looks so good. I love the colors and the logo and the fonts. So cute!! I have to laugh about your Texas snow. My brother and sister in law are down in Dallas this week visiting her family and there was snow down there. Here they thought they were escaping all of our Michigan snow but they still got some down there. But from what I could tell it didn't last and wasn't nearly as much as we still have here. Have a great weekend!

    1. Hey IG/blogging friend! Thanks for the sweet compliments about my page. I'm really excited about it and beyond happy with how it turned out. Now I just need some followers. It is a lot more difficult than I thought! Ha. That's pretty funny they thought they would be able to escape the snow only to get it. This weather has been a little bit crazy the last week. I'm sure it was nothing compared to what yall deal with up north!

  2. I love your new blog design. It looks great! It is so fun when everything comes together how you envisioned it. Snow seems to be everywhere....except for Florida. I'll take the sunshine any day over snow. I look forward to reading about your St. Patrick's Day posts.

    1. Thank you SO much! I am loving it. 😃 We have had crazy weather the last week, but before that it was super mild. We spent the majority of the winter outside. We used to live in Miami and Jupiter. I do miss sunny Florida sometimes!

    1. Thank you SO much, Jayme!it had been fun to see everything start up over the past few weeks. I just hope it keeps moving in the right direction. Any tips on building followers on the store and blog? Those two are the hardest to build, I'm finding. 😐 I hope you have a great weekend, IG/blogging buddy!
